Holiday Tip #9: Remember Your Why

I created the Holiday Tips series for ambitious high achieving women trying to juggle everything this holiday season -- closing out the fiscal year at work, coordinating holiday events, hosting, cooking, cleaning, communicating, shopping, wrapping. The mental load is extra heavy this time of year, and I'm hopeful these holiday tips will help make things a little lighter for you.

Connect with me on Instagram @execcoachleanna or LinkedIn to tune into the full series.

Hi everyone. Coach Leanna, the executive coach for moms here with another holiday tip. Today I want to ask you to remember your why.

So asking yourself, why am I doing all of this? And staying connected to that, whatever your answer is, I think is really important because in those tough moments where we feel like, oh, how am I gonna get all this done? Or We're up at midnight wrapping presents or doing shopping or cooking, we might start to feel a little bit resentful or we might feel a little bit like, what?

What am I even doing this for? That is a great time to answer that question. What am I doing this for? Who am I doing this for? Why am I doing this? And if I don't like the answer, if I realize that my why isn't something that is in alignment with my values, then I can stop doing it.

We don't have to do it but if my [00:01:00] why is really important to me, and I realize that why I am doing this is, is so much bigger than this one moment. Then I can maybe have a little bit more energy to make it through that moment. So why? What's your why?

Why are you doing all this?
